Innovate UK the UK’s innovation agency is part of UK Research and Innovation, a non-departmental public body funded by a grant-in-aid from the UK government
The remit of Innovate UK is to drive productivity and economic growth by supporting businesses to develop and realise the potential of new ideas, including those from the UK’s world-class research base.
Since 2007, they have committed over £1.8 billion to innovation, matched by the partners in business. To date, this funding has helped 8,000 organisations with projects that are estimated to have created nearly 70,000 jobs and added £16 billion to the UK economy.
